The users should be added by the Microsoft Active Directory (AD) domain administrator in unified messaging infrastructures where Cisco Unity is integrating to the Microsoft AD domain. Voice mail only deployments will require the voicemail installer to use Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) to install the four AD users. The following users will be installed • UnityInstall (Unity Installer) • UnityAdmin (Unity Administrator) • UnityDirSvc (Directory services) • UnityMsgStoreSvc (Unity Message Store) CUSPA does not check for the installation of Microsoft Active Directory or the Active Directory schema extensions required for Cisco Unity. Voice mail only deployments of Cisco Unity require the Cisco Unity server to be promoted to a Microsoft Active Directory domain controller (DCPROMO).
